Bangkok – Kaeng Krachan National – Park Hua Hin

Beautiful trip along the west coast. Visit the lakes, waterfalls and Vineyards of the Kaeng Krachang National Park and beaches in Hua Hin.

 Day 1: Bangkok – Kaeng Krachang National Park (app. 270KM)

Leave Bangkok from the Victory Monument on Rachadamnoen Road past Pinklao Bride and follow Baromrachachonani Road for app. 20Km to Phuttamonton Sai 4. Please make sure not to drive onto the ramp of the elevated road after crossing Pinklao Bridge as it is not open to motorcycles. At Phuttamonton Sai 4 turn left onto Highway 3310. Continue on HWY 3310 all the way to Samut Sakhorn. Here turn onto the ramp of the AH2 and follow the Highway Southwest towards Samut Songkran for about 48Km. just past Samut Sonkram the highway crosses the Mae Klong River. Slow down and watch for a sign “Scenic Route to Hua Hin” to your left. Here you need to turn onto highway 4012. This beautiful road follows the coast line all the way to Cha Am along salt fields, beaches and fishing harbors. Here you can find many small local restaurants along the way for a quick lunch. Follow highway 4012 and 4028 all the way to Chao Samran Beach. After Chao Samran Beach continue on HWY 4028 for another 10Km and then turn right onto HWY 3499. Follow 3499 for app. 60Km all the way to the Kaeng Krachang Reservoir. Here you can spend the night in one of the many small hotels near the lake. Take a boat trip over the lake or enjoy a rafting tour near the bottom of the dam. Many small restaurants overlooking the lake are an ideal place to enjoy the evening.

Day 2: Kaeng Krachang – Hua Hin (app. 140 Km)

In the morning follow HWY 4006 south for about 80Km to the Pa La U Waterfall. Enjoy a refreshing bath and continue east towards Hua Hin on HWY 3219. Along the way stop at the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard for Lunch before arriving in Hua Hin. Enjoy the city, relax on the beach and treat yourself to a great seafood dinner. In Hua Hin you can find many hotels and resorts in every category and price.

Day 3: Hua Hin – Cha Am – Bangkok (app. 200km)

Drive north on Highway 4 towards Cha Am Beach. In the city just before the highway turns left to Bangkok turn right onto Highway 4028 and follow the Scenic Route again back to AH2. If you have the time you can do a short detour to Phetchaburi to visit the royal palace of King Rama V there. After reaching the AH2 turn right to Bangkok and follow the highway all the way to the city.
